Check out what's happening at America SCORES sites across the country!

Chicago - On January 28, AS Chicago will have their 3rd Annual Red Carpet Poetry Slam! Attendees will sip cocktails, bid on auction items, participate in wine raffles, and hob nob in the splendor of the School of the Art Institute Ballroom.

Eight individual poets and two teams
, selected by their Community SLAM performance, will grace the stage and then sign autographs for 100-250 attendees. Two individual poets will earn the right to represent Chicago at the National Poetry SLAM.

This year, each attendee will be leaving with an audio CD of performances by the 2010 RCPS poets created during their dress rehearsals. For tickets and more information, click here.

Denver - Announcing AS Denver's first Inspired Art Project! Partnering with America SCORES for this event is Think 360 Arts, an arts education program in Colorado. The event will take place on April 29th, and they are looking for art submissions! Click here to visit their Inspired Art blog.

St. Louis - On January 20, cocktails for a cause
AS St. Louis will hold a "Cocktails for a Cause" event at the Highlands Restauraunt and Brewing Company in partnership with the Riverfront Times. Tickets cost $10 and include Miller lite and MGD64. For details, click here.

New York - On January 28, AS New York is hosting its first-ever Foosball tournament! Tickets cost $15, which covers registration, a drink ticket, and appetizers. The event wifoosball tablell take place at Slate, and will be open to teams of two players. The team with the most creative name wins a door prize! Click here for more info or to register.



DC
-On January 15, DC finished competing in the month-long Athletes for Hope "Who Gives? Racing for a Cause" giving challenge. Former professional soccer star John Harkes promoted DC's cause, teacher-coachwhile competing against other pro athletes sponsoring charitable organizations, and helped raise about $5,000.
